Why do we continue to reach for love despite being hurt?…

“ For in loving others we ourselves are healed”

That statement I wrote on a mixed media cross many years ago with a gilded broken heart. To  answer my question why we seek love again and again.. I came up with two paintings, “ True Romantic has Faith despite experience.” And the other “ When two share The One this is truly Love”. I have sold so many copies of these paintings that I know they hit a cord of truth with many people.

When we “fall in love” I believe on a soul level it reminds us of going home, two become one, heart to heart. I believe one is answered in life on the same “ channel” that one is broadcasting , therefore if you are being loved, and loving you receive love and get to live in a loving world. The price is the courage it takes to let another touch your heart…again.

 The symbols in the painting:

Moon: romantic, feelings, soul love, dreams, intuitions.

Willow Tree: Southern tree, can withstand heavy weather without breaking, deep roots, needs water(water is emotions), protection.”Nurture your Roots and fear not the Wind”

Lotus: Divine love, Love of a giving Nature.

Pond: water nurturing and feeling, instead of analytically based.

Bed of Olives: seeking peace in love

Dragonflies: seeing through illusion, number ten for completion and new beginnings.

Iris: inspiration manifested in a created form.

Gold Eyes: inner light shinning out

Snake: To bee willing to shed the past and grow, transformation and kundilini.
